HANAUREUM jewelry is crafted using a range of precious metals, surface finishes, pearls, beads, gemstones, and decorative materials. Variations in materials, appearance, and wear characteristics are inherent in handcrafted and fine jewelry. By purchasing products from HANAUREUM, you acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following disclosures:
1. GOLD CONTENT & METAL COMPOSITION
Certain HANAUREUM products are crafted from solid 14‑karat (14K) or 18‑karat (18K) gold, as expressly identified in the applicable product description. Items described as “solid gold” are composed primarily of gold that has been alloyed with other metals to enhance strength, durability, and wearability. Such alloying is standard industry practice and does not diminish the quality or authenticity of the gold content.
2. COLORED GOLD & SURFACE TREATMENTS
Some HANAUREUM solid gold pieces may undergo additional surface treatments or plating to achieve specific aesthetic colors, including but not limited to white, yellow (in varying tones), rose gold tones, blackened gold, or other darkened, oxidized, or specialty finishes.
These surface treatments:
• Are applied over a solid gold base, as identified in the applicable product description;
• Are cosmetic and aesthetic in nature and do not alter the underlying gold content; and
• May naturally fade, lighten, or wear over time as a result of normal use, including friction, interaction with skin chemistry, exposure to environmental elements, or other ordinary wear conditions.
Any change in color, tone, or surface finish resulting from normal wear or use is inherent to these treatments and does not constitute a defect, and therefore is not grounds for return, repair, or replacement.
3. PEARLS
HANAUREUM jewelry may feature natural or cultured pearls. Pearls are organic gemstones and are inherently delicate in nature. As a result:
• Each pearl is unique and may exhibit natural variations in shape, size, color, luster, surface texture, and markings;
• Minor irregularities, inclusions, or variations are natural characteristics of pearls and do not constitute imperfections or defects; and
• Pearls are particularly sensitive to chemicals, moisture, cosmetics, fragrances, impact, and environmental exposure, and may be subject to wear over time with normal use.
Variations in appearance or changes resulting from ordinary wear, care, or handling of pearls are inherent to the material and are not considered defects, and therefore do not qualify for return, repair, or replacement.
4. BEADS & DECORATIVE ELEMENTS
HANAUREUM jewelry may incorporate beads or decorative components crafted from a variety of materials, including but not limited to natural stone, glass, metal, resin, and composite or mixed materials.
Due to the nature of these materials and the handcrafted design process, such components may naturally vary in color, tone, translucency or opacity, pattern, veining, texture, shape, or surface finish. These variations are an inherent and intentional aspect of the design and aesthetic of HANAUREUM jewelry.
Natural variations in beads or decorative components do not constitute defects and are not grounds for return, repair, or replacement.
5. HANDCRAFTED AND LIMITED‑PRODUCTION ITEMS
Many HANAUREUM pieces are handcrafted and/or produced in limited quantities. As a result:
• Subtle variations in design, dimensions, color, finish, or detailing may occur between individual pieces;
• No two items are guaranteed to be precisely identical; and
• Such variations are inherent to the artisanal craftsmanship and production process and contribute to the unique character and individuality of each piece.
These natural variations are expected characteristics of handcrafted or limited‑production jewelry and do not constitute defects.
6. Elastic Bands, Silk, Nylon, and Threaded Cords
Certain HANAUREUM bracelets and necklaces incorporate elastic bands, silk cord, nylon cord, thread, or similar stringing materials as part of their design and construction. These materials are selected for their aesthetic qualities, flexibility, comfort, and functionality.
You acknowledge and agree to the following disclosures regarding such materials:
• Elastic components, including stretch bands, are subject to gradual loss of elasticity over time due to normal wear, tension, body chemistry, environmental exposure, and frequency of use.
• Silk, nylon, and thread‑based cords may experience natural wear, fraying, stretching, loosening, or changes in texture or appearance over time, particularly when exposed to moisture, friction, cosmetics, or repeated movement.
• These materials are not permanent structural elements and may require maintenance, restringing, or replacement as part of normal jewelry care and ownership.
• Any stretching, loosening, fading, fraying, or breakage resulting from ordinary wear, handling, or aging of these materials is an inherent characteristic of their use and does not constitute a defect.
HANAUREUM recommends handling such pieces with care, avoiding excessive tension or exposure to water and chemicals, and removing jewelry prior to sleep, bathing, or physical activity to help preserve the integrity of elastic and corded components.
7. WEIGHTS, DIMENSIONS, AND MEASUREMENTS
All weights, dimensions, and measurements stated on the Website or in product descriptions are provided on an approximate basis. Minor variations may occur as a result of casting, polishing, finishing, setting, or other manufacturing and production processes. Such variances fall within standard industry tolerances and do not constitute defects, and therefore are not grounds for return, exchange, or dispute.
8. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By purchasing products from HANAUREUM, you acknowledge and agree that:
• You have carefully reviewed the applicable product descriptions and specifications prior to purchase;
• You understand and accept the materials, finishes, and construction methods used in the item; and
• Natural variations in materials, artisanal differences, normal wear over time, and cosmetic changes are
inherent and expected characteristics of fine and handcrafted jewelry.
Such characteristics do not constitute defects and are an ordinary part of jewelry ownership.
